It is important for SEO that each CMS page has unique meta data. DO NOT use the global meta data area to apply meta tags site-wide. Using the same meta data on every page, defeats the purpose.
1. Go to > Admin > Content > Pages and click on the page you want to open in edit mode.
2. Click on the 'Options' tab
3. Add unique meta tags in the "Page Specific Metadata" field.
The most common use for this field would be in adding the "description" and "keyword" tags.
Ex. <meta name="keywords" content="web design, web development, SEO, meta data, meta tags" />
<meta name="description" content="How to add unique meta data to your CMS pages" />
Your description should be a complete sentence that will entice the viewer to click on your page in the search results.
Your keywords should contain words that are most used in the content of the page. Do not use words that do not exist on the page.
